‚Die IT-Sicherheitsforscherin und Rollstuhlnutzerin Elfy beschäftigte sich aus persönlicher Betroffenheit intensiv mit dem e-motion M25 von Alber. Was sie dabei antrieb, war nicht zuletzt die Preispolitik des Herstellers: Für Funktionen wie das Umschalten des Fahrmodus (99 Euro), ein höheres Geschwindigkeitslimit (99 Euro) oder die Fernbedienung per App (99 Euro) werden saftige Aufpreise fällig; eine spezielle Bluetooth-Fernbedienung kostet sogar bis zu 595 Euro. Elfy wollte wissen, ob diese Komfortfunktionen technisch wirklich abgesichert sind – oder ob der Zugang in Wahrheit viel einfacher ist.‘

Winterrail 2025/26
And so it starts! Since yesterday and until January 4th I will be travelling around Europe exclusively by train, carrying with me my lovely foldable bike.
Stops:
Paris (at @mario’s 💕), but also having lovely conversations with @giovannicerboni
Barcelona (for the yearly gathering of the youth movements in @bancaetica Italy and Spain)
Marseille, because going straight back to Italy was a bit too much in one go, so I will just hand out and chill.
Sanremo, to spend Christmas with my family (even though on 21-22 December we will be doing a full-immersion planning with the staff of @scambi)

Vielleicht kennt ihr meine Fotos von Chaos-Events, Personen sind da aus Gründen die Ausnahme. Beim #39C3 möchte ich etwas anders machen: eine Foto-Reportage über die Engel und ihre Arbeit. Die Idee wurde als Projekt beim Call for Art angenommen 🥳
Klar wird die Foto-Policy eingehalten, ich möchte mit allen vorher sprechen und auf Wünsche eingehen.

Here are three individuals who recently re-ignited a sense of hope in me, showing how courage, defiance and/or technical brilliance can make a difference:
Austrian activist #MaxSchrems won a case on the Austrian supreme court, forcing Meta to give users full access to their data (it was a 11 year legal fight!)

#CaitlinCallenson, the bystander who filmed the video of the ICE officer's killing of Renee Nicole Good, shouting at him "Shame" multiple times. As John Gruber wrote on his blog: "after the murderous agent fired three shots — just 30 or 40 feet in front of Callenson — Callenson had the courage and conviction to stay with the scene and keep filming. Not to run away, but instead to follow the scene. To keep filming. To continue documenting with as best clarity as she could, what was unfolding."
