童年因某个好伙伴的离去而忧伤的小朋友（《小龙人》），成人结婚后的烦恼，可能会是因钥匙丢在房里只能穿着短裤在外面晃动（《报上名来》）。而青春期时被帅气强壮的大学生房客吸引了目光的女孩（《指望》），进了大学未尝不会变成另一种模样（《跳蛙》）——人生充满多种可能，阶段的人生也没有好坏之分，只过就好。

六朝古都开封，皓月当空的夜晚，烟花绽放，人声鼎沸。在人头攒动的茶馆内，美丽少女弹着琵琶吟唱婉转悠扬的调子。一个文弱平凡的少年寄入人群，呆呆张望着台上的姑娘。演出结束后，少年和女孩提着灯笼，并肩走在河边。他们是比邻而居的旧相识，少年假托随哥哥出门应酬，顺道慕名来听女孩的演奏，唯唯诺诺，欲说还羞，对比女孩的坦荡爽朗，男孩是如此内向文弱。他们一路闲聊，全然没注意到屋顶上两个人影连番穿梭，紧紧跟在他们身后。不知不觉，两个孩子来到了恶徒云集的四角亭，争端也由此而起……
本片为华语导演杨德昌未完成的遗作《追风》样片。
