Revival of Evangelion is a re-edit of the Neon Genesis Evangelion films , released in 1998. It consists of Evangelion: Death (which was essentially a clip show that summarized the entire regular series) and The End of Evangelion , re-edited together to make a version that tells the entire story of Evangelion. It is considered to be the final form of the Evangelion films.

Akito Kobayashi has always had an interest in the occult, and when he learns to control demons though the help of a computer program he created and magnetite, the essence of human life, he plans to unleash hell on earth. 《REVIVAL》的第一部分：「DEATH (TRUE)2」原先是作為《死與新生》的一部分推出。其中《死與新生》分為兩個部分：「DEATH」篇和「REBIRTH」篇。「DEATH」篇是60分鐘的電視動畫修正版，包括了重新製作的鏡頭和一些新鏡頭。「REVIVAL」所採用的版本，稱為「DEATH (TRUE)2」，是對「DEATH」的重新剪輯，去除《死與新生》的「DEATH」篇中的新鏡頭並且作一些小修改。作品的第二部分「REBIRTH」包括了《THE END OF EVANGELION》的第一部分，因此是《THE END OF EVANGELION》早期未完成的版本。

幽幻怪社的雇员们，除了11岁的mamoru外，都是一些奇特的人，均存在各种各样的问题，他们能够胜任驱鬼的任务吗？
美女+鬼怪+笑料式的作品，类似与〈GS美神〉，动画的画面质量不错，OP的一段歌曲很有意思，是一段演歌+劲歌，歌词让人喷饭，是部令人感到轻松的作品。
从演歌混合着劲歌这个有趣的OP来看，注定了这是一个风格带着搞笑的动画，虽然有灵异事件发生，但是，不管什么幽灵鬼怪遇到了如月妖华这个“幽幻怪社”的大姐头社长，也要退避三分。
