The NPS (Nationai Police Safetyrescue) was formed to combat extreme crimes like terrorism, which is beyond the scope of the ordinary police force. Their purpose is to catch criminals alive. The elite members in the police organization formed NPS to strengthen the authority of SAT (Special Assault Team). When the NPS cannot solve a crime then they send in SAT. When SAT succeeds their authority strengthens.

Ichigo (Osamu Mukai) is a member of NPS. He is a former boxer, but became a police officer at the age of 23. In his second year as a police officer, he was scouted by the NPS. His strength is hand to hand combat at close range. He is also blunt with strangers.

Iori (Gou Ayano) is a member of SAT. He is the best shooter in the group and possesses a calm and steady personality. Ichigo and Iori, with their different personalities, find themselves having constant conflicts.

A spell of time in the life of a family in rural Tochigi prefecture. Yoshiko is not an ordinary housewife, instead working on an animated film project. Uncle Ayano, a successful music producer, is looking to get his head together after living in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Sachiko is concerned with why she seems to be followed by a giant version of herself. As the lazy days pass by, each member of the family is followed in a series of episodic vignettes.

There once was a hospital where patients and even doctors & nurses were all weird. Above all, Onuki, a patient who built up his company all by himself from scratch, is a super cranky old man. One day, he meets up a girl called Paco, who cannot retain memory beyond one day due to a car accident. She is reading the same picture book everyday. Onuki starts bonding with Paco after some incident, and begins to doubt his way of living. He starts wanting to do something for Paco with his remaining life, and comes up with a brilliant idea. This pleases Paco, but their fate is?

She is the vocalist for a punk band called Black Stones and she desires fame and recognition more than anything else. Nana Komatsu is an outgoing and flighty young woman with a weak will and a stable past. Her life revolves around her desire to find love and marriage. The two meet for the first time while traveling to Tokyo — in pursuit of their respective dreams — and they later decide to be roommates. Although drastically different people, the two become very close and together they find out if their biggest dreams have room for their best friend.
