湾岸警署一行人跑到汉城办案，结果人才刚到就破案了，於是这趟《汉城大搜查线》只好更改行程，变成二个小时的吃喝玩乐之旅。
前去汉城办案是深津绘里、中山裕介和锚屋长介，但由於人才刚到案就结了，所以在汉城警署的美艳女刑事力邀下，既来之则安之，就这么改成观光旅游了。
湾岸署的三位头头：北村总一郎、齐藤晓及小野武彦也跟去汉城了，理由是富士电视台的编成局长龟山千广，为了感谢湾岸署协助他们拍《大搜查线》名利双收，特地送了三张来回机票（龟山千广还因此友情客串露了脸）。
湾岸署的这趟《汉城大搜查》，就是由这六个人担网演出的。织田裕二呢？因为休假跑去看世界田径大赛；水野美纪因故改以「旁白」献声；而柳叶敏郎则是用「照片」客串；这是本剧给他们没有参加演出的理由。
这个特别版，类似之前V6或饭岛直子来台取景的旅游节目，反正韩城有名的吃喝玩乐加世界杯足球赛的新场馆全都尽收眼底，不同的只是非以往的综艺形式，而是改成戏剧包装，由《大搜查线》的主要演员担任导览介绍。那么，「汉城大搜查」在哪里？剧中特别安排了三段汉城警署夜间出勤的「直击现场」，虽都只是小案件，但好歹也算有交待了。
日韩两国合办「世足杯」的脚步愈来愈近，类似这种日韩合作模式的电视节目也的确增加不少，这部《汉城大搜查》想必获得韩城观光局的不少协助，纯当旅游节目看，还满吸引人的，另外，又由於制作班底一样，所以《大搜查线》的气势和味道也都有出来，Fans不用太担心，还是很具看头的。
