Pacifica Casull is the most feared and hated person by the followers of the God Mauser. Known as the Scrapped Princess, she is the poison that will destroy the world. 动画版由Satelight制作，监督为若林厚史（代表作：《幽游白书》、《火影忍者》），系列构成&剧本为米村正二（代表作：《口袋妖怪》系列、《花田少年史》），角色设定为村田峻治（代表作：《机动警察》剧场版），音乐则是RPG名作《最终幻想》系列的御用作曲家植松伸夫。
故事主角是连自己的出生地都不记得了的豹头战士古因，生于架空的世界，架空的时代，以他为中心，一幕幕的生死在上演。这部有如《三国志》般宏大的背景设定中，国与国之间的连年战争、谋略、兴亡正顺着命运的齿轮在转动，其中交织着宫廷、市井人物间的形形色色人物的野心、妄念、友情、诀别、恋爱等爱憎交织的感情大戏。

The story is about a teenage boy who happens to be a shougi master. One day, a nine-year-old girl turns up at his house, requesting to be taken as his disciple. From there, all kinds of wacky hijinks ensue.
