On June 24, 1969, Etsuko Takano, a 20-year-old third-year student at Ritsumeikan University, jumped in front of a train and died instantly. She left no suicide note, but did leave over a dozen diaries. This film is based on her writings.

Tetsuya, a worker at a US Air Base who moonlights as a bartender with his bar hostess roommate, dreams to move to the United States one day. Meanwhile, his best friend Jun wants to build a home on some local wasteland. Yet the introduction of Yuki, who they both fall in love with, begins to tear their friendship apart.

He decides to hold special additional classes for the lagging students during the summer holidays, which they will keep as a memento of the old school.
