Patlabor: The TV Series is an anime television series, created by Headgear, animated by Sunrise, and based on the Patlabor anime franchise.

In the ruins of a strange city, a young girl takes care of a large egg she holds carefully in her arms. She bonds with a boy who is searching for a bird he saw in a dream.

『御先祖様万々歳!』 (ごせんぞさまばんばんざい) は、1989年5月から1990年1月にかけてリリースされたOVA作品。全6話 (全6巻) 。
作品概要
舞台演劇というフォーマットをアニメに持って来た、台詞過剰な押井守監督のOVA作品。「立ち喰いそば」、「犬」、「大洗海水浴場」と、オシイ・ワールドのレギュラーも盛り沢山。
スタジオぴえろ10周年記念作品として製作された。原作、脚本、監督は押井守。後に、この作品を再構成・再編集したヴァージョンが、『MAROKO 麿子』というタイトルで劇場公開された。
同じくスタジオぴえろで製作し、押井が監督したヒットアニメ『うる星やつら』と同じくある家族に美少女がやって来て起こる混乱を描くコメディー。『うる星やつら』との類似は押井の意図で、声優の配役も重なっている部分があり、後にしばしば裏『うる星やつら』とも評された。しかし、売れ線の企画だと期待したスタジオぴえろ社長布川ゆうじの思い反して、押井の趣味が反映された小劇場での舞台劇を模した演出と独特の長台詞は、アニメファンのニーズに合わず、商業的には成功とはいかなかった。本作で、うつのみや理がレイアウトと作画監督のデビューを飾っている。
南家こうじが担当したオープニングアニメーションは、当時の供給媒体が ビデオテープであった事もあり、かなり衝撃的であった。
1990年代に入ってからBS2でオンエアされたが、毎回放送終了後に案内役の林原めぐみが絶句したままコメントに詰まっていた。

The Yomota family is small and typical: father Kinekuni (42), mother Tamiko (38), and son Inumaru (17). One day, a beautiful girl appears at their front door, calling herself "Maroko Yomota," granddaughter of Inumaru who travels back in time with a time machine to visit her ancestors. Cyborg detective Batou is assigned to investigate a series of murders committed by gynoids—doll-like cyborgs, which all malfunctioned, killed, then self-destructed afterwards.
