回到曼德利莊園，麥森住的地方，房子管理人法蘭克正指揮著眾人收拾，然而女管家丹華士太太卻直指這棟房子只有一個女主人，那便是烈碧卡。("Die Neue Mrs. De Winter")首次見面"我"被丹華士太太冷若冰霜的態度唬住了，及後當丹華士太太介紹房子裡的物事時，更看出她對烈碧卡的仰慕。("Sie Ergibt Sich Nicht")及後麥森姊姊碧翠絲和姊夫吉烈到訪，並迅即喜歡了"我"。("Die Lieben Verwandten")晚上，"我"與麥森下棋談心，("Bist Du Glucklich?")卻被丹華士太太打斷。"我"直認之前不小心打破了烈碧卡生前喜歡的花瓶，麥森樣子一下子變得陰沉，被問及他是否幸福時，("Bist Du Bose?")他直言不知幸福為何物。傷心的"我"跟落魄的麥森回到房間裡，各自憔悴。(Hilf Mir Durch Die Nacht")碧翠絲收到了麥森的電話，卻幫上甚麼忙。("Was Ist Nur Los Mit Ihm?")
怪人積寇來訪，跟丹華士太太直指自己為烈碧卡愛人。("Sie War Gewohnt, Geliebt Zu Werden")"我"送走積寇後丹華士太太提議穿一件全白色的晚裝參加晚會，並把"我"帶了進烈碧卡的房間裡，把物件逐一介紹。("Rebecca")另一邊廂，眾人都為麥森的新妻子議論紛紛，("Wir Sind Britisch")而"我"則無心地闖入了傻子賓在海邊的屋子附近。賓一直喃喃說著"她走了"。("Sie's Fort")大惑不解的"我"卻莫名奇妙的被麥森罵走；麥森深悔自己為何還未能擺脫過去陰影，並對這段婚姻信念開始動搖。("Gott, Warum?")"我"向老好人法蘭克打聽賓屋子則邊的船是甚麼，法蘭克指那是烈碧卡的船。"我"認為那是麥森和烈碧卡的愛情證物而心情低落，法蘭克卻指不論外表如何，內裡的美麗更值得男人珍愛。("Ehrlichkeit Und Vertrauen")
晚會開始了，("Der Ball Von Manderley")其中最為搶眼的莫過於范荷柏太太以一身亮麗的美國人裝束出場。("I'm An American Woman")而"我"則為新裝而期待，希望可以讓整個舞會增色。("Heut Nacht Verzaubere Ich Der Welt")但當她出場的時候卻拍眾人給靜住了　－　碧翠絲道出了原因：她穿的衣服跟烈碧卡去年穿的可是如出一轍。麥森狂怒的著"我"回去更換衣衫，及後便軟弱無力的攤坐在一邊。"我"面對突如其來的打擊傷心不已，拖著衣衫沿梯上去。丹華士太太卻依舊冷漠地頌讚著烈碧卡，指她不會離開曼德利莊園，就算死了也一樣。("Rebecca - Reprise")
第二幕
("Entr'acte")
麥森整晚都沒有回來，"我"周圍尋找之時心灰意冷，認為自己及不上烈碧卡，做甚麼也只能活在其陰影下。("Was Ich Auch Tu, Ist Falsch")"我"質問丹華士太太為何明知那是烈碧卡的衣服還要她穿去舞會，丹華士太太冷傲依舊，向其展示烈碧卡的魅力何在。("Rebecca - Reprise")突然海邊傳來海難的消息，眾人趕到之時法蘭克告訴"我"他們找到一艘屬於烈碧卡的沉船，裡面躺著一具屍體。("Strandgut")然而烈碧卡的屍體早就被麥森認回來了，這具屍體又是誰的呢？終於"我"在賓的屋子附近找到了麥森，("Sie's Fort - Reprise")麥森指二人的幸福完結了。"我"雖然傷心，卻希望雖然自己比不上烈碧卡，亦能留下陪他一會。("Du Liebst Sie Zu Sehr")
但麥森的回答卻出乎意料：我從不愛她！烈碧卡是個邪惡的女人。終於真相大白，外表美麗的烈碧卡其實心腸惡毒，既想佔有麥森的財產卻又跟外面的男人鬼混。為了家族聲譽麥森只得啞忍，終於有一次麥森在船上跟之撕破面，錯手殺死了她。一不做二不休，他把船給弄沉了，在外面認了一條假的屍體。("Kein Lacheln War Je So Kalt")"我"終於知道自己位置是如何的重要，並決定要助麥森一把；碧翠絲趕回來，鼓勵"我"要努力支持住。("Die Starke Einer Liebenden Frau")"我"先把屋子弄的煥然一新，("Die Neue Mrs. De Winter - Reprise")丹華士太太跟之對質時"我"直指自己才是麥森的妻子，並要把烈碧卡的遺留都趕出曼德利莊園。("Mrs. De Winter Bin Ich!")
在聽證會上麥森幾乎被逼至崩潰，"我"適時的昏倒卻救了他一命；("Die Voruntersuchung")回到家裡卻發現積寇已經來了並猜到了些許端倪，要來敲詐他們。("Eine Hand Washt Die Andre Hand")麥森請來朱利安上將來主持公道，積寇乘著酒意指麥森殺了烈碧卡是因為積寇搞大了她的肚子。在追問賓和丹華士太太的計策不成之下，("Sie's Fort - Reprise")他們找到了烈碧卡生前最後看過的醫生。("Sie Fuhr'm Um Acht")然而，醫生卻指烈碧卡其實是患了癌症，生命所餘無幾；眾人因此估計烈碧卡因而自盡。("Keiner Hat Sie Durchschaut")丹華士太太頹然欲昏，("Rebecca - Reprise")而麥森和"我"則在回家路上真正的放鬆了下來。("Jenseits Der Nacht")
曼德利莊園漸近，光芒卻照耀了整個天空。曼德利莊園起火了！("Manderley In Flammen")在迷濛中，丹華士太太穿著烈碧卡的白衣晚服手挽燭台在台上左右閒蕩，到最後變成了一個火人。隨著火勢的綿延，整個莊園的一切都附諸一炬，而所有其遺留下來的陰影亦隨之一掃而空。"我"再以劇首的裝束出場，交待之後所發生的事：她與麥森現下居住在小旅店裡，過著簡樸卻要比以前要輕鬆多的生活，成為茫茫人海中一對典型經歷過不少風霜的恩愛夫婦。兩鬢斑白的麥森跟之擁吻，"我"又回憶起自己夢見曼德利莊園了......("Ich Hab Getraumt Von Manderley")
