Verrà ad assistere allo spettacolo Bernardo Celli, il talent scout che offrirà ad uno di loro un ingaggio nella sua agenzia Artisti e manager e un contratto per il suo programma comico in prima serata televisiva. Quei 58 minuti prima del debutto saranno l'occasione per confrontarsi sulla reciproca idea di ciò che fa ridere e ciò per cui vale la pena intraprendere il mestiere di comico.

Il giudice Enrico Paci e l'ingegner Fabio De Tassis si conoscono alla nursery nel 1987 dove sembra evidente che, a causa di un black out, i rispettivi figli maschi sono andati scambiati. Nel 2003 i due si rincontrano casualmente, famiglie al seguito, durante un viaggio in India: Fabio, da sempre un trafficone, sta in realtà sfuggendo ad un'indagine della procura sui suoi loschi affari.

A man from Milan, Carmelo, is forced to take his young son Malcolm, on a trip down South so his mother, who usually takes care for the boy, can go on vacation with her Moroccan boyfriend. Carmelo, who obviously is not too often at home, has no clue about how to deal with young children, even the most basic chores a father should know to tend the restless imp thrown in his care. The crowded train traveling from Milan to Reggio, Calabria, is packed in the second class section where Carmelo and Malcom have a hard time getting a seat. When they finally do, young Malcolm decides to disappear from his compartment. He goes to the first class car, where eventually Carmelo decides to sit and pay the extra supplement. He is lucky to find more space, and the companionship of Beatrice, a woman that is bringing the skeleton of a rare animal. Carmelo finds a way to interest the lady. Their ride is certainly bumpy, complicated when he decides to leave the mischievous Malcolm at an intermediate stop.

The United States of America, after the great success of Vietnam, Watergate and so on, have decided to expand their activities in Italy. Mr. Chips has chosen Eddie Mordace to open the Italian branch of the multinational American Love Company. So Eddie opens in Milan a small branch of the Company whose purpose is to comfort women. Eddie hires Simbad, Adone and later, when business starts to go well, Ugolino, a real Count, and Ivanoe, a raper, who becames the attraction of the House.

Heartbroken that their children no longer want to spend time with them, two parents fake an inheritance to bring the family together for Christmas.
