a review of 言语如苏打般涌现

Loved this. A subtle, disarming and ultimately emotional slice-of-life story like only the Japanese can produce. My only minor complaint would be that some of the visual choices didn't really resonate with me, such as the saturated colors of the mall, the highly contrasting colors between light and shadow in some elements, and the use of saturated gradients. But this didn't ruin the charm of the story, and I did like other visual elements, such as the layered angular light glares. All in all, a really pleasant watch, with an almost Ozu-like calmness.
