Hunger (2008)God, that was depressing. I need counseling now. It’s a good thing nothing of this sad true event was glorified. Sometimes no horror scenario can match the horrors of real life. Hunger‘s cinematography was hauntingly beautiful, strengthened by the minimal dialogue. Well, minimal except for the impressively extensive one-take dialogue with the priest. It was tough watching the emaciated Michael Fassbender. It reminded me of the uncannily thin Christian Bale in The Machinist (2004).
