Nobody Owns Me (2013)Mig äger ingen is a solid drama about a girl who lives with her alcoholic father in the 1970s, and how she copes with that. The film is divided in three chapters, reflecting three life stages of the main characters. The 1970s atmosphere is nicely captured, although I think the execution could have been a little grittier. The lighting, make-up and wardrobes were just a bit too polished to be entirely convincing. But this didn't really affect the experience. The performances are good, especially those of the little girl and her father. Mig äger ingen is not a gripping masterpiece, but definitely not a bad film.
