Leave no Trace was a refreshing, disarming and at times touching take on the Into the Wild theme, featuring a traumatized war veteran living in a forest with his daughter. I liked the contrast between the clinical, rule-based big city and the humane warmth of the rural communities. It all felt very natural and authentic, also due to the convincing performances of the lead actors.
