finished watching Close 🌕🌕🌗🌑🌑
This film didn’t work for me. I though there was an overabundance of face close-ups with bright backlighting, and nervous shaky-cam motion scenes, resulting in the film giving me an eye migraine. I also didn’t feel the emotion I should have felt for the characters. There was a lack of amiable personality buildup and character depth. It was too much of "Here's another dreamy scene of boys running through a field of flowers", alternated with yet another hectic, nervous ice hockey scene. Close predominantly felt forced and pretentious to me.
