a review of 小城犯罪

Small Town Crime is an entertaining noir crime flick, larded with black humor in the tradition of the Coen brothers and Tarantino, but with its own character. John Hawkes gives a solid performance as the alcoholic ex-cop who sets out to solve a crime he accidentally discovered. The bad guys are slightly caricatural, but that fits in a film that doesn't take itself too seriously.
