a review of 神奇队长

Captain Fantastic left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, there's some interesting food for thought in the film, and Viggo Mortensen is still a cool bad-ass, no matter his age. There are also a few comical moments, such as the scene where the children scare a nosy cop away by pretending to be devout christians trying to convert him. On the negative side, the know-it-all smugness of the characters and the pretentious moralism of the film started to annoy me. The intellectual hippie level of Captain Fantastic was just too high to prevent the cynic in me from breaking out of his cage. If you'd ask me to describe Captain Fantastic in a few words, I'd call it The Kelly Family on steroids.
