I'm in a lazy pros and cons summary mood, so here we go: American Hustle, the pros: • It features one of the most whimsical Christian Bale characters I've seen so far. • The 1970s hairdos, clothing, music and sets are all very well done. The cons: • Too much talking, like a Tarantino movie on Speed. • Too lengthy. At least half an hour too long. American Hustle wasn't a bad movie, but it couldn't escape the ordinary for me. My attention weakened here and there, and I found myself yawning a few times. Despite a cast full of famous actors it failed to leave an impression on me.
