a review of 欢迎来到马尔利戈蒙

Bienvenue à Marly-Gomont is a very charming feelgood movie based on a true story about an African doctor and his family trying to assimilate in a small French country-side village in the 1970s, where they are confronted with pertinacious prejudice and xenophobia. Although the story is predictable, it is funny and moving, and as it is based on true events, it is a hopeful testimonial that love conquers all.
