Father's Chair (2012)Let me start by mentioning that I really like Wagner Moura. I think he's a very talented actor, with melancholic eyes that speak for themselves. His portrayal of Pablo Escobar in the Narcos series is magnificent. A Busca left me with ambivalent feelings. In the first half of the movie the hysterical acting and nervous camera irritated me a bit. I liked the second half of the movie more, when things started to slow down. All in all, A Busca is not a bad film, and it has some touching moments. But in the end it left me with an unsatisfied feeling. Wagner Moura's charismatic presence alone was not enough to turn the film into a really memorable experience. His main character was both likable and unlikable. After all, stressing out an old man with a pacemaker by stealing his phone so you can call your wife, and driving away from the old guy while laughing out loud makes you a bit of an asshole. ㋡
