a review of 尊严殖民地

The director of Colonia must have had the goal to give his audience a heart attack from suspense. Every time you desperately hope the hurting is going to stop, a new problem situation arises and catapults you back to the edge of your seat. Knowing that the story is based upon true events gives Colonia a sour extra dimension. It makes me mad and sad that corrupt regimes keep being able to get away with torture and murder in this so-called civilized world. Apart from the obviously exaggerated suspense element, Colonia is a disenchanting tale of human misconduct and large-scale power abuse.
