a review of 男人与鸡

Men & Chicken reminded me of the delicious surrealism of Jeunet & Caro movies such as Delicatessen, and the films of Alex van Warmerdam. Men & Chicken also wins the award for the most hilarious Mads Mikkelsen character I've ever seen. The absurdist humor in the first half of the film made me laugh out loud multiple times. Then Men & Chicken gradually shifts from humor to drama. Men & Chicken slightly loses its momentum in the more serious second half of the movie, making the story drag a little bit, and the twist at the end was predictable, but the originality of Men & Chicken nonetheless keeps it interesting.
