a review of 死侍

I wonder what I would have thought of Deadpool without the generously filled glass of single malt whiskey I consumed while watching it. Anyway, I didn't love it, but I liked it. If it would be possible on Letterboxd, I'd give Deadpool a rating of 6.5 out of 10. I support any attempt to break out of the ordinary, the predictable. Deadpool light-heartedly satirizes the dull seriousness of most superhero movies, and shits on hypocritical Hollywood morals, although it's a relatively subtle shit in terms of really bashing taboos. Having grown up in the 1980s, I'm usually a sucker for references to that era, and Deadpool offers some enjoyable goodness there, especially the Wham winks. I recommend not watching Deadpool in a sober state. The shockwave of corny jokes is best enjoyed while being at least moderately intoxicated.
