Suburra (2015)

Suburra shows just about every aspect of crime and corruption in Italy, and you know from the start that there will be an apocalypse involving all sides. The cinematography is atmospheric and colorful, and the actors well-cast. My only complaint is that I found the plot a bit too dramatic, with overly stereotypical, slightly caricatural characters, such as the crime bosses. This made the film feel more like a crime opera than a really gripping, fully credible reflection of reality. Nonetheless, I enjoyed Suburra, and I'm impressed by the Hollywood-like high-budget slickness the Italian creators have managed to establish.
