TransSiberian (2008)Transsiberian starts reasonably intriguing. The concept of strangers with a secret, meeting in the Transsiberian Express, is reminiscent of the Agatha Christie classic. But in the second half the plot goes downhill. The Jessie character — performed by Emily Mortimer — becomes more and more irritating and unlikable, and Woody Harrelson's Roy character is so naive and ignorant that he becomes a caricature. Eventually I was really longing for the lengthy film to arrive at its endpoint. I almost can't believe this comes from the same man who delivered the brilliant The Machinist.
