In the Mouth of Madness (1995)I remember seeing In the Mouth of Madness in 1994, and not being very enthousiastic about it, despite being a John Carpenter fan. Halloween and The Thing are among my all-time favorite movies. Rewatched it 21 years later, and it still failed to really grab me. I found it amusing, but not really scary, partly because the make-up effects have become dated. I did enjoy Sam Neill's performance in the movie. He is a fine actor, it's nice to see him back in the Peaky Blinders series. I also like the parallel between fiction and religion that's emphasized in the movie.
