The tongue-in-cheek alarm went off quite loudly while watching San Andreas. The all-American unbreakable family ties cheesiness nearly killed me. They should have left out the acting and go directly to the impressive CG earthquake and tsunami porn. The corny story might have worked as a satire, if most of the main characters — except The Rock — weren't so annoying and superficial, with their blindingly whitened teeth and gravity-defying pumped-up breasts.
