a review of 终结者：创世纪

Terminator Genisys felt like a tribute, a fan movie, celebrating maestro James Cameron's classic first two parts of The Terminator. It was a great move to involve Schwarzenegger. I enjoyed seeing my childhood hero back. Having said this, Terminator Genisys proves once again that advanced special effects can't beat classic storytelling. Although Terminator 2 had the most advanced special effects of its time, it's Cameron's storytelling and flawless buildup of momentum that made T2 a masterpiece and Terminator Genisys just a faint reflection of it.
