An intriguing horror film, with refreshing as well as classic ingredients, sometimes reminding me of John Carpenter's original Halloween. The isolation of the teenagers and the rides through the dilapidated suburbs give It Follows an effectively surreal, alienating atmosphere. The first half delivered some genuine goosebumps, but to my experience the movie lost some of its momentum towards the unexpected end.
