The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

I've got a mixed opinion about Wes Anderson's films. The aesthetics are impeccable, but I usually find his movies a bit boringly theatrical, as if you're watching an old school aristocratic stage play. Having said that, I regard The Grand Budapest Hotel as his pièce de résistance to date. The set designs, characters, wardrobes and cinematography are so brilliant that the chaotic, although reasonably amusing plot became insignificant to me. I just enjoyed the movie like a beautiful painting or a fine glass of wine.
