Raging Bull (1980)

Raging Bull was a Scorsese classic I still hadn’t seen yet. As with most Scorsese films, the narrative and character depth makes you forget time, and you’re not bored for a second, even when nothing much happens. Of course, this is also because of the magnetic screen presence of both Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. The boxing matches feel much more authentic than in the Rocky films, and it is impressive to witness how much weight De Niro gained for his role.
