In a Lonely Place (1950)

I must admit I had read so much praise for In a Lonely Place that my expectations had become a bit too high. It turned out to be a decent flick, with a great, natural performance by Humphrey Bogart, as usual. But from a much-praised Film Noir I expected a darker, nihilistic story, with more cynical characters, like in Out of the Past (1947). https://letterboxd.com/metinseven/film/out-of-the-past
