The Pier (1962)I thought La Jetée was an intriguing watch, and the moral of the story was poetic, but the sequential photograph execution was a bit too minimalistic and (Nouvelle) vague to my taste. It's a nice reflection of the experimental 1960s, but when it comes to experimental, existential French retro films, I enjoyed Un Homme Qui Dort (1974) much more: https://letterboxd.com/metinseven/film/the-man-who-sleeps And when it comes to an intriguing time travel narrative filmed with minimal resources, I recommend Timecrimes (2007): https://letterboxd.com/metinseven/film/timecrimes
