a review of KIMI

In my humble opinion, Steven Soderbergh’s films often have trouble surpassing a certain mediocrity, and the narrative can be pretty boring. I thought the first half of Kimi was reasonably interesting, with a solid performance by Zoe Kravitz. But once the 1980s-style goons appeared, the film turned into kind of a farce, and my sense of involvement slipped away.
