Nosferatu (2024)

Having seen the classic 1922 Nosferatu, as well as Werner Herzog’s intriguing 1979 version, I’m glad the reincarnation by Robert Eggers did not disappoint. The new Nosferatu is a Gothic gem with very atmospheric cinematography, as we’ve come to expect from Eggers. The narrative and gorgeous imagery pleasantly reminded me of Coppola’s 1992 Dracula. I did not find Nosferatu scary, but experienced it like a beautiful dark fairytale.
