a review of 紧急搜捕令

After having recently rewatched the classic first Dirty Harry film, Magnum Force turned out to be a bit of a let-down. The concept had potential, but there was no momentum buildup and no real tension. Also, I expected the finale to be a tense shootout between Harry and the young sharpshooter, but that was also a disappointment. Nevertheless, I enjoyed seeing the late David Soul again, who was one of my childhood heroes in the role of Hutch from the Starsky and Hutch series. Furthermore, Clint being cool as always, Lalo Schifrin’s funky soundtrack, and the overall laid-back 1970s atmosphere all made Magnum Force worth the watch.
