a review of 为所应为

This was one of those classics I still hadn't seen after all those years. Spike Lee made a film that both exposes and satirizes racial hate. That blend keeps the film digestible, while still effectively conveying a very important message. Very sadly, things haven't changed much since Do the Right Thing came out in 1989. Cops are still choking black men to death, and racial discrimination is still happening everywhere. What also struck me was the discussion in which someone says that one day the poles will melt, making the sea rise and flood land. In 1989 that wasn't common knowledge yet.
