a review of 星际探索

Ad Astra left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, I quite liked the subdued, philosophical, Malickian atmosphere, and the art direction was gorgeous, almost on par with 2001, A Space Odyssey. On the negative side, the story was very shallow, the scientific credibility of the events got worse and worse as the film progressed, and the ending was too mawkish, similar to Gravity (2013).
