a review of 吉尔莫·德尔·托罗的匹诺曹

Pinocchio didn't disappoint. I'm not an unconditional Del Toro aficionado, but I do love every animation he's responsible for, such as his Book of Life (2014), and I always love his visuals. Of course, the story is already very good, but the animation execution is fabulous as well. The work that must have gone into the creation of Pinocchio's stop-motion animation is mind-boggling and deserves a standing ovation. The character designs are also top-notch. I really enjoyed this, with a minor exception in the shape of... the musical songs. 😉
