a review of 雨人

This film was featured heavily in the doc Code of the Freaks when they were discussing abled people receiving awards and accolades for playing disabled characters. I knew what I was getting into, partially watched out of morbid fascination. It's hard to watch Tom Cruise's character yell at him so much. I guess the audience is supposed to be viewing the journey through this character's POV I know it's not great autistic rep but damn some of these mannerisms remind me of my late, probably autistic grandmother who got very specific and stressed about restaurants. We need better rep like yesterday with actual autistic people in roles. Impulse watch because it was on Kanopy's Leaving Soon list. For some reason with no captions available
