End of the World (1977)

i'm checking "contains spoilers" but it's so formulaic it probably won't spoil anything. i wanted to like this, you know? if i told you the main elements of this involved nuns from outer space and TWO Christopher Lees, you'd say "Wow, that sounds interesting" it is not interesting. Everything is so dim colourwise and soundwise. Very whooshy, difficult to listen to. The music is dour haunted player piano for some reason. No excuses when your movie poster is ripping off (or a "loving homage") to a painting that was used for a famous Jean Michel Jarre album cover the same year finally some synthesizers at the end (i am always listening for synthesizers, it's what i do) i was glad i hadn't nodded off when it got to the last five minutes where you get a split second glimpse at Christopher Lee's character's paper maché alien head and then the Earth explodes, seemingly full of glitter it's just too bad the whole thing is so dreary
