didn't realize my kanopy subscription on my expired library card was still working, so i of course immediately went to see what trans stuff is on there. i was a little hesitant because of Preciado's earlier work (Testo Junkie is kind of a mess), but decided i needed to give it a chance when i saw someone reviewing it here saying "this is such 2014 cringe" (i see this on almost every trans thing i watch, and the last one was on something really important to me. i don't know why everyone is so irony poisoned these days) anyway i quite liked it because of all the trans and nonbinary folks featured in it, who had a wide range of gender presentations and ages, and whose stories were intertwined in the narrative. maybe some of the visuals or metaphors were a bit clunky (i could do without the gun store), but they're being acted out by cool trans people so it's not really a problem to me.
