This is a derivative space fantasy not interested in hiding that it's ripping off that other space fantasy franchise and trusting in name recognition to get a few folks to part with their cash. The sets, the acting, the effects, and even the lighting was calculated to look glitzy without actually being high quality. I think they got embarrassed at making the lead female star travel the universe in a bikini halfway through so they gave her something to cover herself up in. Even the first bad guy's makeup was putting in a minimal effort, just barely hanging on until that character meets his demise. I would rate this lower if it were actively offensive - it's not really trying that hard at anything.
