Jack Palance is good in other roles, but not this one, in my opinion. The film does not manage to keep up the tension in the last two thirds. There are a few scary visuals that are okay, but the production would have been better if they took the lighting of every scene down at least 50%. There are a bunch of vampire tropes (flapping bats, dissolving in the sun's rays, needing to be invited into a home) that go missing that fans of this story might miss. Also no Renfield character.
