a review of 异形

I have only vague memories of seeing this decades ago so I watched it again on streaming. It's a monster movie but a lot of it feels like a lifeboat story where you don't know from the point where they realize they've made some terrible choices who's going to make it out alive. Sigourney Weaver earned all the acclaim she gained from this role. The production design influenced maybe a hundred other films and of course it has spawned its own franchise. I'll see about seeing some of these other films now.
