The Darjeeling Limited - Review

It felt like a film that paid more attention to style than to telling a coherent story. The music from Satyajit Ray films, the saturated color palette, the conceit of filming this on an actual moving train were more important than the characters, plot, or theme. For some people this is a deal-breaker, for me, it's kind of a given for Wes Anderson films. I thought the way the culture of India was being viewed exclusively from a Western point of view, not that they didn't try to be sensitive and respectful, but that there was a limit on how much success they could have.
