HV061 anthéne & Simon McCorry - Mind of Winter



'Mind of Winter' is a new collaborative album by Brad Deschamps (a.k.a. anthéne) and Simon McCorry. This body of work was created over December 2020 & January 2021 and are reflections on Wallace Stevens' poem The Snowman, circling around the meaning of what it is to 'have a mind of winter'. Simon is an accomplished cellist, having composed and performed works for dance, theatre and his own more experimental solo cello recordings. Brad has been releasing mostly guitar based music as anthéne for a few years and runs the Polar Seas label.



The works are predominantly based on cello and processed guitar recordings with the addition of other elements - tongue drum, hydrophone/field recordings and voice.
