Lauded Soviet director Sergei Eisenstein spent an extended period of time in Mexico working on an ambitious project that was never realized until much later, when this film was assembled from the largely abandoned footage. Moving from ancient Mayan times to the 1930s, the episodic movie features various dramatic segments, including scenes of a marriage ceremony and of bullfighting, as well as a Day of the Dead celebration and depictions of the Mexican Revolution.

Sadly, the film was never made… until now.
July 21, 2025 stopped watching I love the posters for Narco Shark and sequel Narco Sharks and it sounds good on paper. But I hate the actual film. It's like an experimental student film. A bad, dull one. With almost zero shark or narco action! (I'm sure there's some ironic justification for that.) I fell asleep in the middle, and restarted it the next day but just couldn't be arsed to finish it.

My rating for this is 0 stars. Zilch, nothing, nada. Not sure if NeoDB understands that, or just thinks I forgot to rate it.
