The show's second season began in September 19672 with "Amok Time," which introduced the Russian navigator Pavel Chekov, and gave viewers their first glimpse of Spock's home world of Vulcan. The season also includes notable episodes such as "Mirror, Mirror", which introduces the "Mirror Universe"; "Journey to Babel", containing the introduction of Spock's parents, Sarek and Amanda; and the comic "The Trouble With Tribbles", which would later be revisited in an episode of Star Trek: The Animated Series and one of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
