overview
In early 1970s Hong Kong, amidst hardship, Ying, recently unemployed, gets a job as a ticket seller at the Tung Sing Theatre through her friend Shu. Ying's diligence and conscientiousness earn her the appreciation of the heir apparent, Ran, who intends to promote her. However, Ying's persistent belief that the theatre is haunted greatly displeases Ran. Later, Ying and Ran discover the ghost Sin, uncovering that Ran's mother, Mei, is having an affair with the theatre manager, Lai, and plotting to seize Ran's fortune. With the help of Ying and Fairy, Ran brings Mei and Lai to justice. Meanwhile, Ran unknowingly falls in love with Ying, but Ying's heart belongs only to her childhood sweetheart, Kwok.
Will Ran ultimately be able to win Ying's heart? Will the Tung Sing Theatre continue to be haunted?
